How Licenses Work

License Overview

When you download the free version of Prospects, you are actually downloading the full application. However, without a valid license, it will limit some of the features you can use. Once you purchase a license via our online store, it will remove those limitations.

After you purchase a license, you will receive an email with the license file attached. Simply open the license file on your computer and it will automatically open Prospects and register it. Your license information is stored in your preferences. Since these can be deleted during various activities (such as installing a new version Mac OS X, swithcing to a new computer, etc.), you should keep the email and license file in a safe place for future use.

Availability and Upgrade Policy

Prospects has two different types of licenses. The Single Use license allows you to install and use Prospects on one (1) computer. The Family Pack license allows you and your family members to install and use Prospects on up to five (5) computers in your household. Please refer to the license agreement at the bottom of this page for details.

A license does not expire and is good for the version of Prospects specified when you purchase the license, as well as all the updates to that version between it and the next major upgrade. A major upgrade is an x.0 release (e.g. 1.0, 2.0, 3.0, etc). In general, major upgrades are discounted for existing Prospects owners. For example, if you own a license for version 1.0, when version 2.0 comes out you will be entitled to a discounted upgrade price.

The first time you open a version of Prospects, you must agree to the license agreement or the application will not work. The license agreement is provided here for your convenience:

PLEASE READ THIS SOFTWARE LICENSE AGREEMENT ("LICENSE") CAREFULLY BEFORE USING THE MOTIMOTION LLC SOFTWARE. BY USING THE MOTIMOTION LLC SOFTWARE, YOU ARE AGREEING TO BE BOUND BY THE TERMS OF THIS LICENSE. IF YOU DO NOT AGREE TO THE TERMS OF THIS LICENSE, DO NOT USE THE SOFTWARE.

PROSPECTS IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" BASIS, WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, WARRANTIES THAT THE PROGRAM IS FREE OF DEFECTS, MERCHANTABLE, OR FIT FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.

Permitted License Uses and Restrictions
1. Single Use. This License allows you to install and use one copy of the MotiMotion LLC Software on a single computer at a time. This License does not allow the MotiMotion LLC Software to exist on more than one computer at a time, and you may not make the MotiMotion LLC Software available over a network where it could be used by multiple computers at the same time. You may make copies of the MotiMotion LLC Software in machine-readable form for personal backup purposes only.

2. Family Pack. If you have purchased a Prospects Family Pack, this License allows you to install and use one (1) copy of the MotiMotion LLC Software on up to a maximum of five (5) computers at a time as long as those computers are located in the same household and used by persons who occupy that same household. By “household” we mean a person or persons who share the same housing unit such as a home, apartment, mobile home or condominium, but shall also extend to student members who are primary residents of that household but residing at a separate on-campus location. The Family Pack License does not extend to business or commercial users. You may make copies of the MotiMotion LLC Software in machine-readable form for personal backup purposes only.
